Protein Duel is a free browser guessing game: you're shown two foods side by side, and you guess which one has more protein. Normal mode compares protein per 100g of a single food. Hard mode compares whole plates — the total protein across everything visible on it, not just one headline ingredient. No account, no ads, no sign-up.
How to play
Pick Normal or Hard mode from the start screen.
The left side shows a food and its protein value.
Guess whether the food on the right has more or less protein.
Guess right and your streak keeps going — guess wrong and it resets to zero.
Your longest streak is saved as your best, right in your browser.
FAQ
Where does the nutrition data come from?
Protein values are averages sourced from USDA FoodData Central, used for gameplay purposes. They're not verified medical or dietary advice — see the legal notice.
How is a Hard Mode plate's protein value calculated?
It's the sum of every visible ingredient on the plate, scaled to its portion — not just one main ingredient. A plate with eggs, bacon, and toast adds up the protein from all three.
Is Protein Duel free?
Yes — completely free, no account, no ads, no in-app purchases.
Does my streak sync across devices?
No. Your best streak is stored only in your browser's local storage — see the privacy policy. Clearing your browser data resets it.
